La mère merle

The untamed spirit within us all.

A log house in a wild forest. Minuscule mittens drying near a fire place. Protecting the beasts and the plants, Mère Merle watches... One day, a plane falls in the forest. Civilization lands with the person of Laviat who shelters in the little house while raging against her bad luck. The house magically comes to life, small beings appear everywhere. An unexpected life reveals itself.

This show reminds us of the wild and civilized parts of ourselves and makes us realize how precious and fragile the world we live in is. This show was awarded the 1999-2000 Audience Award by the Beloeil Cultural Center and was nominated for the Académie québécoise du théâtre Best production for Young Audiences award. During Spring 2001, La Mère Merle visited Reims, Angoulême and Strasbourg in France.
